My Trip to Bali

Last week I went on a trip to Bali island with my sister and It was a first time to visit this place. If you follow me on Instagram , you may have known already but I wanted to share my trip with you guys what I did, where I saw and what I ate in more details! I hope you enjoy it!!

先週、姉と一緒にバリ島に旅行へ行ってきました。バリ島に訪れるのは今回が初めてです。インスタグラムをフォローしてくださっている方は既にご存知でしょうが、バリ島で訪れた場所、見た絶景、おいしものをシェアしたいと思います。

Seminyak, Kerobokan

The hotel where we stayed is located in Seminyak where is known as the most fashionable area in Bali. There are a lot of fine cafe&restaurant, clothes shops, resort hotels and designer-brand villas there. The surf in Seminyak beach is so high so you can't swim but you can see the amazing sunset from here.

私たちが滞在したのはバリ島の流行発信地とも呼ばれるスミニャックエリアです。ハイセンスなカフェやレストラン、ブティック、デザイナーズヴィラが立ち並び、欧米人で賑わうエリアです。スミニャックビーチは波が高くサーファーには最高の場所ですが、遊泳は禁止されています(波打際はok)。しかし西側に位置するこのビーチからは素晴らしい夕日を臨めるので行く価値ありです。

Next, let's talk about Kerobokan area where is located to the north of Seminyak. The atmosphere is much more relaxed than Kuta and Seminyak. There are many restaurants with international chefs cooking high-quality cuisine. Anyway, why I visited this area because I went to Potato Head Beach Club!

次に紹介するのがスミニャックの北に位置するクロボカンエリアです。スミニャックよりも比較的落ち着いたエリアで、外国人オーナーが腕をふるうレストラン激選区と言われています。このエリアに私たちがおとずれたのはバリ島にたくさんあるビーチクラブの一つ、Potato Head Beach Clubに行くためです！

You go into the modern building surrounded by the beach, you'll see the infinity pool. They also have sofas, daybeds, restaurant&bar, DJ booth and so on. All visitors spend a day in their own way with tropical vibes. Especially sunset time is amazing and watching the sun sets under the horizon with delicious cocktails is a supreme moment!

ビーチを囲むように建てられたモダンな建物を入っていくと、インフィニティプール、ソファーシート、デイベット、レストラン＆バー、DJブースなどが完備されており、思い思いに南国気分に浸りながら贅沢な1日を過ごすことができます。特におすすめなのはサンセットの時間。ヤシの木の奥に日が落ちて、あたりがオレンジに染まっていくのを眺めながらのひとときは最高です！ただし、ものすごく混むので早めに行って席を確保することをおすすめします。入場制限がかかることもあるようです。

Ubud

Next destination is a nature-rich countryside town, Ubud. It takes about an hour and a half to drive to there from Seminyak area. The first things we did when I got there is to watch one of the Balinese traditional dance performances, Barong dance. We really enjoyed the beautiful sound of gamelans and a little bit funny show.

カーチャーターをして訪れたのは、バリ島中央部の緑豊かな街、ウブド。スミニャックエリアから車で1時間半ほどで到着です。まずはじめに見たのはバリの伝統舞踊バロンダンス。言葉はわからなくとも、ガムランの美しい音色と少しコミカルな劇を十分に楽しむことができました。

The Ubud Art Market is located opposite the Puri Saren Royal Ubud Palace. This place was used as a shooting place for a Hollywood movie, "Eat, Play, Love." Here you can find handmade accessories, clothes, bags and so many other hand-crafted goods. Almost all of items does't have price tags so you should negotiate with a storekeeper. There are also many art museums and galleries in Ubud so you can enjoy Balinese classic and modern art.

ウブド観光の中心ウブド市場はウブド王宮の目の前にある市場です。ジュリアロバーツ主演の「食べて、祈って、恋をして」でも登場した有名な観光地です。ここではは様々なハンドメイド雑貨やアクセサリー、洋服、食器が売っています。値札はなく、店員さんとの交渉で値段を決めます。値切り交渉をしながらの買い物もアジアの市場のおもしろさの一つです。またウブドにはたくさんの美術館やアートギャラリーがあります。気軽に入ることができ、バリ島の古典美術から現代アートまで楽しむことができます。

When you drive a car toward to the north from Ubud about 10 minutes, you get to a small village, Tegallalang. Tegallalang is famous for its beautiful scenes of erraced rice-fields that it is well known as a spot for tourists to stop and take photos. There many cafes and restaurants near the ledge so you can enjoy your meal or tea with this awesome view.

ウブドから北へ車で10分ほどテガラランという小さな村につきます。この村を南北に走る美しく壮大な「神様の階段」とも呼ばれるライステラス(棚田)はバリ島有数の観光スポットです。棚田を見下ろす道路沿いにはカフェやレストランが軒を連ね、雄大な景色とともに美味しい食事を味わう事ができます。バリ島はビーチだけでなく車を少し走らせればあのどかな田園風景も楽しめるのが魅力の一つです。

This was just a short trip so we didn't get to everywhere in Bali but we fully enjoyed Bali island and had an amazing time. I'm going to post an article about cafe&restaurant we went to soon on the blog!

短い滞在だったので、訪れた場所はほんの一部ですが、バリ島の魅力を味わう事のできる旅でした。私たちが訪れたバリ島のおしゃれなカフェやレストランの情報は後日まとめてアップします。お楽しみに！
